MALAYSIA ADVENTURES: DAY 1

Petronas Tower, Batu Cave, Suria Mall, BTS

Last year, me and Khaye’s travel highlight was South Korea, this year, so far it is Malaysia-Singapore. Here is our Day 1 Adventures and Photo Diary. Enjoy!

8:30. Arrival at Le Apple Boutique.

The reception floor is so gorgeous! It’s quite dark, though. So OOTD photoshoots aren’t advisable, lol.

 

I didn’t expect the travel time to be that long. The plane landed at KLIA around 6:00 in the afternoon and we arrived at the hotel 30 minutes past 8PM.

After checking in and a little freshening up, we went out to check the Petronas Tower. We’ll be going to Singapore the following night so we took the chance to see the tower at night, that night. One word to describe Petronas Tower? Stunning. It was so beautiful! I was in awe, literally. I mean, I can stare at it the whole night. I think I did.

We ate at a carinderia-like across the street of our hotel and paid enough Ringgits for the four of us. The food was okay. Quite cheaper than the others, I suppose.

First night, done.

The next day..

We got up very early in the morning to see Batu Caves before it becomes too crowded. Also, because we expected the day to be scorching hot. Climbing up 272 steps on that weather would be torture! Anyway, it was so….high. But when you get to the top, it’s all so worth it.

I did it! It was so tiring that I need to pause and rest a bit before I start another set to climb. It was satisfying, though! And everyone is struggling, lol. We even saw a few locals(?) who climb up with babies wrapped in a sarong-like cloth. I think it’s for a baptism ceremony at the top.

We then went back to out hotel to change and freshen up a little. We also checked out and left our things at the hotel’s locker for free. (That’s one kuripurita tip for you all!)

Then we went to Suria Mall KLCC for lunch and decided to stay there because of the…dun dun dun! Aircon!!! Lol! We also check out the park outside and took a few shots of the Petronas Tower in the day.

Yummy! We ate at a Food Court inside the mall and this is very affordable.

Scorching heat!! >__<

If there is one thing I’ve regret not doing in Kuala Lumpur, that is to see the KL Menara up close. We just saw the tip of the tower from afar on our first night. I really wanted to go up the observation deck and see the whole KL from the top view but nah. It’s such a bummer, really.

We then decided to head back to out hotel to get our things when rain started to pour. Luckily, there is a Starbucks nearby and we stayed there until the rain stops. After, we headed to BTS to catch a night bus ride towards Singapore.

We were there past 4PM even when the bus ride would be at 10PM. Haha what a fail! We waited and waited and that’s the end of our first day.
